APPEARANCE
Orym is a Halfling, short and slender with ropey muscles and fine, sharp features. Built more like a dancer than a brawler, he's all grace, speed, and dexterity. His ears are pointed and slightly elongated, and he has a short shock of brown hair a few inches long on top of his head and shorn tight and close around the back and sides. The full-sleeve tattoo on his right arm stretches up onto his chest and depicts swirling winds, clouds, and flower petals, with Ruidus cradled within a crescent Catha (Exandria's two moons) on his right shoulder. He wears nearly full-body brown leather armor (his right arm is left exposed) with a green shirt beneath, and a green sash with a pattern of white cherry blossom branches tied over his heart. His boots are brown leather with green stone rings laced into his shin guards. He wears his sword sheathed on his back, and his shield is adorned with ivy. As a front-line fighter, he has a variety of scars, but the most noticeable are three claw marks dragging down his face over his right eye.

PERSONALITY
Generally, Orym is quiet, serious, dutiful, and level-headed, though he has a dry sense of humor. He is warm, friendly, and loyal toward people he is close to, and generally kind except to those who have given him reason not to be. He considers himself responsible for his friends, his leader, and his people, and even when things get difficult and grim, he is unwavering in his resolve to do right by his husband and father-in-law by protecting the people of Exandria itself from a dangerous cult and a looming existential threat. Though he has the traits of a good leader, Orym views himself as one who follows, a protector and caretaker, unimportant in the grand scheme of things, but now put in a unique position to use his skills to do what must be done for the good of all.

Circa 837 PD, Orym witnessed an attack on Keyleth by a group of magical assassins who appeared suddenly in Zephrah. It was unsuccessful, though several Ashari died in the attack. Will, Orym's husband, and Derrig, his father-in-law, were among them. Orym and the other guards were able to fell some of the assailants, but the bodies melted away into nothing before their eyes. Though rituals were attempted to revive the fallen Ashari, they were unsuccessful.
Orym left Zephrah less than a year later, and has spent most of the roughly five years since roaming Exandria on his own, doing what he can to still be of use to the Ashari--until he met his former adventuring party, the Crown Keepers, and instead traveled Tal'Dorei with them. Recently, he was called home for the first time, then sent to Jrusar in Marquet by Keyleth's instruction to pursue a thread that could possibly lead to uncovering the perpetrators of the attack that killed his husband. Though this clearly takes a heavy emotional toll on him due to his personal connection, he is determined to find justice for the victims (Will included) and fulfill his duty. In Jrusar, Orym and two of his friends from his former adventuring party became members of a new one, Bells Hells, and Orym has quickly come to see this group as friends, too.
